Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day–whatever that is! This year was a little different for a number of reasons.
You probably remember that we’re in the middle of the worst part of the COVID pandemic which changed our plans a little bit, but perhaps more impactful was the fact that Rebecca had to work on Christmas. This is nothing new, but it’s the first time that she’s had to work since our kids really entered the “Santa” phase of their childhood. She ends up working every third Christmas, which happens to be this Christmas. Pandemic notwithstanding, we still had to do some creative Christmas problem solving so that everyone could enjoy the holiday.
We decided to ask Santa to come a day early, and we moved everything forward one day. We celebrated Christmas Eve on Christmas Eve Eve, and hoped for the best in that Santa would come on Christmas Eve. Luckily, Santa was able to make the magic happen and visited our house on December 24th. It was a Christmas miracle! We celebrated our third day of Christmas at the Anderson’s and had a magical holiday experience!
This is a album-in-progress so please check back for more Christmas pictures!
